Archaeological lectures given by Teodor Creus at the Ateneu de Vilanova i la Geltrú (1879)

The aim of this article is to analyse the contribution of Teodor Creus i Corominas (1827-1921) to the development in Catalonia of Ancient Near Eastern Studies. The article delves into the content of his book La Arqueología y la Biblia, his press news and his letters housed in the Biblioteca-Museu Víctor Balaguer in order to place his work in its historical framework.
