Objects that talk: baikar, kas´taun and seltar
Joan C. Vidal
It is well known that there are certain Iberian lexemes which appear exclusively on a given type of object or medium. This has led many authors to semantically relate these lexemes with the object, or, at least, with the use of such object (gift, tomb, offering...). This study advances the current state of the question and attempts to go further and reveal potential external linguistic relations. The link between lexeme and object also bolsters the thought that certain texts were of a type that were spoken, as is the case of other contemporary epigraphic traditions.
