Call for papers

We are currently accepting papers for the Dossier entitled “Phoenicians in the East and in the West” planned for publication in 2023 in the next copy of the Revista d’Arqueologia de Ponent (33).

The dossier will focus on current archaeological research from the Phoenician homeland (i.e. Levantine coast from Tell Sukas to Jaffa) throughout the Mediterranean (in the broad sense) and even beyond (i.e. the Atlantic) in a timeframe between the 10th to the 4th century BCE.

Topics may include reports on recent archaeological fieldwork and surveys, studies of artefacts. They can likewise be more focused on methodological or theoretical discussions. Papers that address current debates and issues on the Phoenician homeland itself and its presence abroad are especially welcome.

LANGUAGES: We accept manuscripts in Catalan, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.

DEADLINE: The deadline of submission is December 31, 2022.

AVALUATION SYSTEM: The papers will be subjected to a Double-Blind Peer-review.
