Iberian interpretation of two Pre-Roman theonyms from the north-east of the Iberian Peninsula
Joan C. Vidal
The indigenous theonyms Seitundo and Herotorag identified in the north-east of the Iberian Peninsula have been classified as Celtic in spite of not bearing correspondences with other Preroman theonyms. The analysis of these theonyms from an Iberian perspective suggests that the first could be Iberian (also in the case that it were read Sertundo) while an Iberian nature of the second remains open.
Keywords: indigenous theonyms, Celtic language, Iberian language, Catalonia.
